Leica R Super-Elmarit ASPH 15mm f/2.8
Summary
The Leica Super-Elmarit-R 15 mm f/ 2.8 Asph is an ultra-wide angle prime lens for 35 mm Leica R SLR cameras.
Thanks to its extraordinary wide angle of view and perspective rendition, this compact wide angle lens is perfect for landscape and architecture photography, as well as for shooting in confined space. Dynamic perspectives with dominant foregrounds are made possible by large angle of view (111°) and the short near focusing distance of only 18 cm.
The optical scheme comprises 13 elements in 10 groups, including one aspherical element. The Super-Elmarit is not prone to flare and ghosting, and delivers first-class images at maximum aperture. Its contrast and resolution are so high that the finest details are resolved into the very corners of the image. The lens is equipped with four built-in filters which are changed over with a special ring. Angle of view (horizontal) - 100°. Manufactured by Schneider-Kreuznach.
