Leica R Summilux 80mm f/1.4
Summary
Leica SUMMILUX-R 80 mm f/1.4 is fast portrait lens with a fixed focal length and manual focusing for SLR Leica R.
It was designed by a famous Walter Mandler and when wide open produces a characteristic soft image (“mandler glow”) with good detailing. When stopping down to f.8 onwards, microcontrast gets higher, softness disappears, proprietary aquarelle blurring and high sharpness remain.
It is equipped with a retractable built-in hood.
