The Leica Elmarit-R 19mm f/2.8 (version I) is an ultra-wide angle lens for Leica R SLR cameras.
This legendary lens was designed in 1975 by Walter Mandler. Version I is remarkable for its image quality at the center at medium apertures and soft corners. However in 1990 the lens was succeeded by the Leica Elmarit 19mm f2.8 (version I), a more compact lens with built-in filters.
