ZERØ OPTIK Kinoptik 25mm f/2.0

(INSERT SINGLE HERO IMAGE HERE - other images below in media section)

Summary

Like the original Baltars and Cooke S1 Panchros these remarkable French lenses were developed in the 1930s and 1940s. While they share many attributes with their contemporary peers Kinoptic were uniquely designed to correct chromatic aberrations even though such aberrations were not problematic shooting on film. They remain the only set of vintage single coat lenses without significant CA.

In the digital age this provides a unique and special look. More than this, they provide solid contrast and saturation, a wide range of useful s35 focal lengths, compact size and usable stops. Due to the manner in which Kinoptic made lenses for different camera specifications and uses, purchasing them can be difficult. Moreover, there are S35 and much lower coverage S16 versions. We can help clients navigate these issues to build a set that meets their needs.
