Service

This section restricted to Duclos Staff users.

Known Issues:
MkII has 87mm front diameter, MkI has 80mm front diameter. You can quickly tell by eye if the front ring is smaller than the focus scale (80mm) or the same size (87mm). See images below in media section for comparison.
Service Manual: Disassembly/Re-assembly

Full CLA: 10-12 hrs.
internal rods ride in moglice. if image shifts, it is due to breakdown in moglice. Extremely difficult to repair. Do not attempt!
w/ spray: +1 hrs.

Focus only: 2-3 hrs.
Zoom only: 6-8 hrs.
Iris only: 6-8 hrs.
Iris assy is located under rear zoom group. must dis-assemble to access zoom optics to properly clean. Can split the focus form the zoom group so a partial is ok.
front optics (only): 1-2 hrs.
FE is doublet.
S16 conversion: The ZEISS 10-100 for N-16 can be converted to a 12-120 with an Optex/Abakus kit, but they are rare and are no longer made. Best to seek out an existing 11-110 ZEISS, or one of the several Canon S-16 zooms
PL conversion: TBD
re-collimate: 1-2 hrs.
easy unless there is a shift, jump or discrepancy in the zoom optics. see notes above about moglice
