Known Issues:
1. if optical core is loose in housing or collimation changes (may require tapping lens alternately on the front and rear to see the change while evaluating) most likely the cam follower assembly (2 pieces: brass block and follower) are loose, bent or damaged. Quote replacements initially and remove from estimate if not needed after opening the lens.

elements are in housings. housings are secured with set screws. some elements have lock ring that goes towards rear. expect to disassemble entire lens to access most optics.
iris blades:
50/55mm iris blades - not the same size as other focal lengths
18mm, 24mm iris blades - possibly the same iris blades (confirm)
35mm iris blades - not the same size as other focal lengths
85mm iris blades - not the same size as other focal lengths
Shift iris to reach full travel (internal): 4-5 hrs.
re-collimate back focus: 1 hr. HOWEVER
if lens is long, then a datum ring of a smaller size is needed and should be quoted as well.
replace rollers: 9-10 hrs
Different rollers & bearings for different focal lengths and locations in lens. Measure all damaged bearings for most accurate replacement parts.
per TLS: Where they differ is the brass ‘boot’ that we put on them. This brass boot has a radius on the outer surface to match the bore in which it runs. Therefore, different sized chassis bores, will have different bearings running within them. With the K-35 35mm rear carrier, the front bearings will be different to the rear ones, as they run in different sized bores.
Also, with the floating element designs (where we use 2 cams), the carriers are clocked up to run true within the bore. Therefore, we change the bearing sizes to tilt and adjust the alignment. The bearing sizes are made in 0.05mm diameter increments. So, on the K-35 35mm carrier, some may be 7.1mm, one may be 7.25mm, one may be 6.95mm. Therefore, we’d advise measuring all the bearings as they are removed and mark which size came out of which pocket.
