In 1977 it was discontinued and replaced with its 2nd version Leica Summicron 35mm f/2 (E55).

remove FER, front housing, loosen lock ring inside focus scale to shift timing. use glue to secure lock rings.
T+S focus scale: 1 hr
Remove front ring and optics to access internal screw holding scale. Tighten and secure.
