Service

This section restricted to Duclos Staff users.

Service Manual: Disassembly/Re-assembly

Full CLA: 4-5 hrs.
Rear optical group comes out through front of lens. TO access, full dis-assembly is required.
Re-align optics: no built in optical adjustments.
Improve image quality or accuracy (spacing issue): 1 hr
front optical group has spacing shims underneath. is very sensitive. remove beauty ring and unscrew front optical group to access and adjust shims.
Change Mount: Not offered
per Irix: Unfortunately, we don't encourage mount changes because you'd need to change the entire rear part of the lens, not just the physical mount.
Iris:
1. Iris blades shift slightly when at close focus (2 hrs.): Brass iris linkage may be rubbing on stationary iris housing and needs to be bent towards the front of the lens a little more. Remove 2 optical groups form front of lens to access and confirm. Shoudl wee wear mark on stationary housing at linkage if true. will need to remove linkage screw form rear of lens under iris ring to remove and bend. see dis-assembly guide for details.
2. iris blades are misaligned or uneven bokeh (4-5 hrs): mobile iris ring has enough play it it that iris blades can shift side to side but usually realign when rotating the iris ring. Will need to fully dis-assemble entire lens to access mobile ring and add Teflon washer (if possible) for better alignment.
