Full CLA: 5-6 hrs.
1. Mount cannot fully be removed without first removing the rear optical group due to interference with an internal linkage. This is done by unscrewing rear group with a spanner.
2. Remove mount assembly by depressing lock tab located about 12 o'clock, then rotating silver breech ring until the three mount screws are accessible. Remove the screws, then lift away the mount assembly. Remember to also remove the auto iris pin and spring.
3. Remove the auto iris pin ramp plate via the two screws, then lift away the aperture ring. CAUTION: there are TWO sets of detent balls and springs as well as a long tension spring attached to the aperture ring and rear barrel. Take caution when reassembling as not to pinch\crush the tension spring with the aperture ring.
4. Remove three set screws from focus barrel (rubber grip does not need to be removed), then slip barrel forward to expose the focus hard stop.
5. remove hard stop and separate helical, ensuring to count revolutions and marking entry/exit points.
6. Remove focus barrel from front housing and extend hood.
7. Remove two set screws and unscrew front optics/hood section from front helical/aperture section (heat may be needed)
8. Separate aperture assembly from the front helical via three screws.
