===== Voigtländer 40mm f/2.8 Heliar Aspherical ===== {{ :lens:h40mmf28vm_-2.jpg?400|}} ==== Summary ==== The 40 mm F2.8 Heliar aspherical VM / L* (M39) is a compact and universally applicable lens with a lens configuration of five elements in three groups, based on the traditional Voigtländer Heliar design. It is available with two connections: the VM connection and with M39 screw thread (here called Voigtländer L*). In addition to the ultra-compact design, a highlight is the elegant and precisely manufactured focusing lever, which can also be fixed in place using a locking mechanism. With an overall length of 21.2 mm (VM bayonet mount) or 20.2 mm (L* screw mount), the lens itself remains pleasantly compact on the camera and does not protrude into the viewfinder image. The imaging performance is impressive even at open aperture with very good sharpness right to the edges, the shortest shooting distance is 0.7 m. Retro-style on the outside, but equipped with the latest optical technology on the inside, this is how our new 40 mm F2.8 Heliar aspherical VM / L* (M39) presents itself! ==== Tech Specs ==== | Manufacturer |Voigtländer| | Series |Still lens| | Model |Heliar Aspherical| | Focal Length |40mm| | Max Aperture |f/2.8| | Min Aperture |f/22| | Format |FF| | Image Circle |-| | Minimum Focus |0.7m| | Focus Rotation |-| | Iris Blades |10| | Optical Design |5/3| | Squeeze |none| | Front Diameter |52mm| | Filter Thread |34mm| | Focus/Zoom Rod |-| | Native Mount |M| | Data Protocol |none| | Length |21.2mm| | Weight |131g| | Body Telescope |-| | Body Material |aluminum| | Focus Drive |manual| | Iris Drive |manual| | Zoom Drive |n/a| ==== History ==== Country of Origin: Austria/Germany \\ Release Date: - \\ Launch Price: - \\ Design Revisions:\\ ==== Service ==== Service Manual: (Insert link to manual here) \\ \\ Full CLA: **#hrs.**\\ Enter relevant notes here\\ ==== Cine-Mod ==== Focus Ring O.D.: -\\ Zoom Ring O.D.: -\\ Iris Ring O.D.: -\\ De-click Y/N: -\\ Additional Notes: \\ ==== Notes ==== ==== Media ====
